Listening to the Natives
Schools are stuck in the 20th century. Students have rushed into the 21st. How can schools catch up and provide students with a relevant education?

Digital Natives was a term in the article used to describe this current generation. The article challenges teachers to up skill and move out of their comfort zone by integrating technology into their lessons. Teachers don’t need to have all the answers when it comes to technology but they should be engaging students in problem solving discussions and then allowing them to interact with new technologies in their classroom.
While there are many great ideas in this article, I would challenge some of the ideas in terms of classroom management and would question when was the last time Marc Prensky stepped into a classroom and taught. While some things sound great in theory practically they might not work.
Some great thoughts Em. Love your attitude towards the author. Your right, it is easy for others to want more technology used in the classroom but when did they last teach. Great work!
